Protesters marched to MPP Liz Sandals' office on Woolwich Street,

Protest tries teaching MPP a lesson

Hundreds of protesters were out Friday afternoon in support of education workers who oppose Bill 115, the legislation that imposed a contract on the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation and Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario. Organized by the Guelph and District Labour Council, protesters marched to MPP Liz Sandals’ office on Woolwich Street. They carried flags and placards decrying the legislation, with messages that included “Respect the Charter – Repeal Bill 115” and “Play Fair with Education Workers.” Sandals emerged from her office to speak to the protesters.
