Police have arrested a 29-year-old Guelph man for second-degree murder in relation to the death of a 42-year-old man late last week.
At around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Guelph Police were called to an Elizabeth Street home where they found the victim, who has been identified as Joseph Brillinger.
Investigation revealed that early Thursday evening, the home had been the site of a physical altercation between Brillinger and another man, a news release said.
On Friday, 29-year-old Michael Clayton was charged with second-degree murder.
Police say the victim and the accused knew each other, but the victim did not live at the house where his body was found.
The investigation is ongoing, the release said.
