South end rec centre options part of Tuesday public meeting

Options for a potential new south end recreation facility will be discussed at a public meeting on Tuesday.
The city will host the 7 p.m. April 15 meeting in the community room of the Emergency Services Centre at 160 Clair Rd. W. Public input at the meeting will be used to refine options and develop concepts and recommendations about the city’s strategy for recreation needs, now and in the future, said a news release.
The public will have a chance at the meeting to review options for a potential new recreation facility in the city’s south end. “The options are based on input received from a survey, online discussion, and community focus/user group participation as well as population-growth-related need and land availability,” Wednesday’s release said. There will also be an update on a recreation needs assessment and feasibility study being done by the city, it said.
