Substance leak sends six to hospital

Six people were taken to hospital Wednesday after a possible carbon monoxide leak at Con Cast Pipe.
Police were called to the industrial business, located on Brock Road, around 7:25 a.m. regarding a possible carbon monoxide leak, but the type of gas was not yet confirmed, a news release said.
Of the six people taken to hospital, one was semi-conscious and five showed minor symptoms, it said.
The plant was evacuated temporarily while the gas leak was investigated. The Ministry of Labour was also called in.
