Taser talk at police services public meeting

The Guelph Police Service is holding a town hall meeting all about Tasers.
The information session, to be held June 3 at 7 p.m. at Guelph police headquarters downtown, is meant to address the expanding use of conductive energy weapons – commonly referred to by the brand name, Taser.
The meeting will provide an overview of Ontario’s “use of force” legislation, as well as an overview of the local police service’s use-of-force training, procedures and accountability, a news release said.
The meeting will also cover what the weapons are and how they work, it said.
All residents are invited to provide feedback and ask questions.
