Thief has second thoughts

A homeowner whose house was broken into Thursday was greeted Friday with a letter of apology on the front porch.
Police say the Fletcher Court’s screen door was compromised and several items were stolen between the hours of 6:10 and 6:45 p.m. Thursday.
On Friday, police were contacted by the homeowner, who had found a plastic bag containing the stolen times, a letter of apology and $50 to cover damages to the screen door, a news release said.
