U of G service pays tribute to Lincoln Alexander

The Guelph community is invited to pay tribute to University of Guelph chancellor emeritus Lincoln Alexander at a memorial event Monday evening.
The service, to take place at 7:30 p.m. in the university’s War Memorial Hall, will include a jazz band performance, messages of condolence from those who knew Alexander best, and readings from his book, Go to School, You’re a Little Black Boy.
The U of G’s longest-serving chancellor and Canada’s first black MP, Alexander died Friday at the age of 90.
