Amen to the letter to the editor about cycling safety (Tribune, Sept. 14).
I would like to add one additional comment for all bicyclists out there.  Lights!
Headlight and rear lights are not optional extras. At this time of year, as dusk comes earlier and earlier, I am frightened, as the driver of a significant vehicle, to suddenly realize there is a cyclist just ahead that I had no hope of seeing.
I would feel terrible if I were to cause an injury to a cyclist, so help me to avoid this!
