It isn’t always easy to be a cross-country skier in Guelph. The last couple of winters has seen variable or non-existent snowfall and consequently little to no opportunity for the skiing community to take advantage of one of the greatest activities possible.
However, the bounty of snow that we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks, and some below zero temperatures over the weekend, combined to create near perfect skiing conditions.
These conditions were then made perfect by the diligent, regular and skilled grooming that the volunteers of the Eden Mills Nordic Ski Club completed over the weekend.
A big thank you to these volunteers for making perhaps the best weekend of skiing that Guelph has seen in the past decade!
Here’s to a couple of more weeks of the white stuff!
