It’s time for Ontario’s fifth annual Family Day this Monday – the long weekend promised by the Liberals during the 2007 election to provide a much-needed break from long, hard winters. Well, this winter has been almost non-existent and now birds are starting to sing again, the days are getting noticeably longer, the flu season hasn’t amounted to much, and the main bleakness being seen these days is economic, not winter-related. That said, it’s still great to have this break between New Year’s and Easter. So enjoy the stat, and start the countdown to spring.
