I had the misfortune of having my car hit repeatedly on Oct. 1 in the parking lot of Freshco on Speedvale Avenue. While all the particulars are being taken care of, there is a huge upside to this.
There were two women and a gentleman who witnessed it happen, stopped the driver, had me paged in the grocery store and called the police. Those women met me at the front of the store and walked me out to my car, handed me the driver’s information about his vehicle and explained what they saw.
All three of them waited for the officer to arrive and gave their information to him – happily.
While I know I thanked you, I apologize for not getting your names – I wish I had! Please come forward so I may thank you properly.
I’ve never been in traffic accident, particularly one without me at the scene. It was such an odd occurrence the way it happened, and I struggled to take in all the information and completely understand.
Also thanks to the woman who witnessed me pacing to and fro while talking on the phone and, recognizing that I was a bit agitated, kindly asked if I was okay. Gosh, that warmed my heart that yet another stranger cared if I was really doing well.
When I returned to complete my shopping, a young man employed at the store showed me to my cart and filled in more blanks about how those people took action.
I couldn’t have been taken care of any better in this incident if you were my family. And that’s why my family loves living in Guelph. Thank you all again so very much, and God bless. Guelph people rock!
