Guelph has good neighbours. As we watched Friday’s enormous snowfall accumulate, most of us on our little street faced the daunting task of getting out the shovels.
A gentleman down the street from us owns a snow blower. After the worst of the fall was over, he was out clearing his driveway. And then he did his neighbour’s. And then another.
He spent several hours doing at least nine or 10 driveways, including ours. And we don’t even know him personally. Although we certainly do now.
To top that off, he came back Saturday morning to clean up the mess the snow plow left at the end of the driveway during the night. He wouldn’t accept anything more than a thanks.
How’s that for being a good neighbour?
