Alan Pickersgill hit the nail on the head about publicly funded religious schools (Tribune, June 7).
What I like to see in the curriculum is an hour a day where different religious leaders talk about their beliefs and the customs they have with it. With so many religions in our society, it would be a source of information to other kids why they dress certain ways. It removes a source for ridicule among them.
These talks would be to inform, not to convert.
