Re: “Car washing wastes money” (Tribune, letters, Aug. 2)
I don’t see anything wrong with residential car washing. On my street l see one other person washing his car in his driveway. Trying to wash a car is hard enough considering the restrictions, let alone the idea of banning it all together. Car and paint jobs are very expensive so I don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting to maintain your investment. Some people take great pride in their vehicles. Summer sun and dirt is very hard on paint, so a wash and wax is always a good thing.
To ban residential car washing must be suggested by people who don’t have a car, or if they do they don’t take care of it. Most likely they don’t change the oil, either.
