We have all read many letters before about bad drivers but I would like to air what I see as the worst two offences.
The first is the cellphone drivers. I was recently nearly struck by a car in a parking lot by a young lady driving while talking on the phone.
She had her window down and parked right near me, so I told her to get off the phone while driving. I yelled loudly, hoping whoever she was talking to would also tell her. Much to my surprise, she yelled back, “Why? I missed you.”
I guess she doesn’t get it.
The second one, new in the last two years, is drivers approaching a closed lane on a four-lane road who insist on passing right up to the last pylon and then dangerously forcing their way back in, just to get a few cars ahead.
This has led to others, mainly in pickup trucks or larger vehicles, trying to block them by moving in their way (myself included) after the first flashing arrow. Folks, if you wait your turn and get in line, traffic will move more freely.
