Many times we read letters in the Tribune about the poor behaviour of some of the students at the University of Guelph. While I don’t deny that unfortunately this can be the case, I want to take a moment to acknowledge some of the wonderful service U of G students do for our community.
I am speaking of those students who volunteer their time and talents to host College Royal each year. They do such a wonderful job of planning and running this family- friendly event.
My family has attended regularly since moving to Guelph almost four years ago, and we have never been disappointed. I’ve always found the students to be kind and welcoming. They work so hard to make this an informative and enjoyable experience for children and adults alike.
To the students, faculty and staff who plan and execute this event, thank you; you do our community proud. Keep up the good work and we’ll see you next year.
