North Bay Battalion captain Barclay Goodrow scored 2:30 into overtime to lift his team to a 4-3 victory over the Guelph Storm Friday night in Game 2 of their OHL championship series.
The series is now tied 1-1, with games three and four in North Bay next week.
In Game 2, Guelph jumped out to a 2-0 first-period lead on home ice, before the visitors tied it. The Storm then took a 3-2 lead before the Battalion equalized with less than six minutes remaining in the third period.
Robby Fabbri scored twice for the Storm and Steven Trojanovic had one.
North Bay was 2-for-5 on the power play and Guelph was 0-for-2.
For the second straight game, Guelph was out-shot at home. This time, the Battalion out-shot their hosts 41-24.
The game drew an announced crowd of 4,963 at the Sleeman Centre.
Games three and four are Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, in North Bay. Both games start at 7 p.m.
