Baycats bounce back

The Barrie Baycats scored five unanswered runs on their way to a 7-3 win over the Guelph Royals Wedneday night in Intercounty Baseball League playoff play.

The best-of-seven semifinal series is now tied at 1-1.

Guelph led the home game 3-2 in the sixth inning before Barrie went ahead and pulled away. Mark Allen had two hits for the Roayls and Sean Reilly had two RBIs. Adam Reynolds took the loss.

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday in Barrie at 7:30 p.m. Game 4 is slated for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.
