The Guelph Gryphons men’s basketball team topped the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks 94-88 on the road Saturday.

Dan McCarthy and Zach Angus led the way in scoring for the Guelph. McCarthy had 27 points and Angus had 26.

Last Wednesday at home, the Gryphons fell 97-67 to McMaster. Angus scored 17 points in the loss.

Guelph (4-7) visits Brock (4-7) Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The women’s Gryphons lost 79-49 at Laurier Saturday. Erica McFadden had 10 points for Guelph.

Last Wednesday, the Gryphons were defeated 73-69 at home by McMaster. Alyssa Shortt scored 16 points for the Gryphons.

Guelph (4-7) visits Brock (11-0) Wednesday at 6 p.m.
