Canes tripled up in opener

The Stratford Cullitons scored six unanswered goals in a 6-2 win over the Guelph Hurricanes in season opening hockey action for the Hurricanes.

Guelph led the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League game, played Saturday at the Sleeman Centre, by a 2-0 score late in the first period.

Jordan Hatzinger and Ben Rolefson tallied for the Canes.

Guelph’s next game is Sunday Sept. 16 when they visit Elmira at 7 p.m.
