Centennial Spartan Helen He and Montana Crawford of the John F. Ross Royals went toe-to-toe like two prized fighters in the District 10 girls singles tennis championship final Friday at the Royal City Tennis Club.
It’s the third straight time they’ve met in the finals, with He winning all three. Friday, in a match that saw lengthy rallies and some heavy ground strokes, He won 6-4.
The tilt wasn’t without its share of controversy, as there were a handful of questioned calls. There are no line judges, so players must call the ins and outs themselves.
