Four straight for Royals

The Guelph Royals won their fourth straight game on Sunday as they topped the Kitchener Panthers 12-10 on the road.

Guelph had five home runs in the win, two from Josh Garton and one each from Chandler McLaren, Tino Silvestri and Patrick Coughlin. Garton and Silvestri each had three RBIs. Guelph scored twice in the top of the ninth inning to grab the victory.

On Saturday at home, the Royals got past Burlington 3-2. Jason Martyn went the distance on the Royals mound, striking out 10 batters along the way. Justin Interisano had two hits and two RBIs in the win. Royals teammates Keith Kandel, McClaren and Coughlin each had two hits as well.

Guelph (6-2) hosts London (4-4) tonight (Tuesday) at 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.
