The Guelph Storm scored 13 goals in a pair of home wins on the weekend.
Guelph got past Peterborough in overtime by a 7-6 score on Sunday and they doubled up Erie 6-3 on Friday.
Sunday, in front of an announced crowd of 3,777 at the Sleeman Centre, Matt Finn and Zack Mitchell each scored twice for Guelph and singles came from Patrick Watling, Justin Auger and Scott Kosmachuk.
Jason DaSilva stopped 22 of 23 shots in the Storm net. Starter Garret Sparks allowed five goals on 16 shots.
Former Guelph Stormer Francis Menard had a pair of goals for Peterborough.
On Friday night in front of an announced crowd of 3,817, Tyler Bertuzzi tallied twice in the Storm win. Watling, Mitchell, Kosmachuk and Jason Dickinson each had singles.
Guelph has six wins, two losses, no overtime losses and one shootout loss on the season. They have 13 points, two fewer than Owen Sound, which leads the OHL’s Western Conference with 15 points.
Guelph hosts Sarnia (5-3-0-1) Friday at 7:30 p.m.
