Gryphons throttled by Vanier Cup champs
Guelph Gryphons quarterbacks threw five interceptions in a season opening 50-9 loss to McMaster, the defending Vanier Cup champions on Monday afternoon in Hamilton.
Guelph led 7-2 after the first quarter of the OUA football game. They were then outscored 27-0 in the second quarter and 18-0 in the third.
Jazz Lindsey was 6-for-19 passing for the Gryphons and threw three interceptions. Lucas Nangle was 5-for-13, with two interceptions.
Guelph visits Windsor Saturday for a 7 p.m. game.
