Gryphs in soccer showcase

Guelph’s Courtney Whiteside is among Guelph Gryphons soccer players who are competing in the OUA Soccer Showcase this weekend in Vaughan.

Whiteside, a Centennial CVI grad, and Gryphons teammate Erica Bain of Niagara Falls, Ont., are competing in the women’s game Saturday.

In the men’s game Sunday, Gryphons Tim Flynn (Scarborough) and Justin Springer (Burlington) are scheduled to participate. Gryphons men’s head coach Keith Mason is a coach of their team, Team West.

The indoor games take place at the Ontario Soccer Association Centre, located at 7601 Martin Grove Rd. in Vaughan, and admission is free.
