Last year, the Guelph Country Club celebrated its 100th birthday.
This year, it is celebrating a new name.
The local golf and curling club on Woodlawn Road is now operating as the Guelph Golf and Curling Club.
“We have not been a private club for many years now and we want our brand to represent that,” said a message on the club website from Dean Tremain, Guelph Golf and Curling Club president.
“We will always celebrate what we have been in the past, but the future is much more important for us today.”
