The University of Guelph Gryphons women’s rugby team, the defending national champs, steamrolled over Wilfrid Laurier 91-0 at home on Sunday.

Men’s soccer: Robbie Murphy, the CIS men’s soccer player of the year last season, scored four times in a 5-1 win by the Gryphons over UOIT on Friday night at home.
Michael Bijman also scored for Guelph.
The Gryphons (2-1-0) visit McMaster (3-0-0) Saturday for a 3:15 p.m. game.

Women’s soccer: The University of Guelph women’s soccer Gryphons got a pair of goals from Alexandra Harriss in a 2-1 home win over UOIT Friday night.

Men’s rugby: Like the women’s Gryphons, the men’s rugby team is also off to a 2-0 start this season.
On Sunday, Guelph earned a 42-17 road win over McMaster and got seven trys from seven different players.

Baseball: The Gryphons are off to a 3-0 start, beating Laurier 8-5, Queen’s 12-1 and Brock 8-2. Against Queen’s, Ryan Thompson pitched a complete game and Guelph native Justin Interisano had a three-run home run.
Guelph plays its home opener Wednesday against Waterloo. Opening pitch is 7 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.
