The 2012 inductees into the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame were celebrated on Tuesday night at the The Kiwanis Sports Celebrity Dinner.
The event, which took place at the Italian Canadian Club, saw four individual inductees and a team of four get honoured.
Newcomers into the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame are Russ (Rusty) Hammond, in the builder category; Helen Stoumbos,
in the athlete category; Bert Brown, in the veteran athlete category; Mel McPhee, in the official category, and the curling team of Mike Dorey, Brian Henderson, Gary Houghton and Paul Knight, in the team category.
