Heavy medal!

Guelph teams hauled in eight medals at the 33rd annual Guelph Ringette Tournament on the weekend.

Local teams scored three golds and five silvers at the Guelph Ringette Association event that took place at seven local rinks.

Guelph squads won gold in the U16AA, U12 Provincial and U10 divisions. Local teams earned silver medals in the 18+C, 18+B (where the Guelph Blue team scored silver), U14AA, U14 Regional and U9 divisions.

The tournament ran from Thursday to Sunday and saw more than 1,100 players compete on 85 teams, in more than 160 games.
