The Guelph Hurricanes lost three times in three days as they saw their Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League losing streak reach six games.
Saturday at home, Guelph blew a 4-2 third-period lead in a 5-4 loss to Kitchener. Matt Nightingale, John Najafi, Dustin Baker and Matt Lippa scored for the locals. Friday on the road, Guelph fell 7-1 to Stratford in a game where they were outshot 61-25. Baker had the Hurricanes’ lone goal. Thursday at home, Guelph was edged 2-1 by Elmira. Chad Herron tallied for the Hurricanes.
Guelph (6-26-0) plays three games in three days this coming weekend, too. Friday, they visit Listowel (19-12-1) for a 7:30 p.m. game. Saturday, the Hurricanes host Caledonia (20-9-3) at 7:30 p.m. at the Sleeman Centre before they travel to Brampton (9-19-2) Sunday for a 2 p.m. tilt.
