Guelph’s Justin Interisano of the University of Guelph Gryphons has been named the top hitter in Ontario University Athletics, and an OUA all-star, for the 2012 baseball season.

Interisano (Bishop Macdonell high school), a member of the Guelph Royals senior Intercounty Baseball League team this past summer, had a league-high eight home runs for the Gryphons this season.

The back catcher hit .460 and had 31 RBIs. Guelph went 14-7 this season before going 1-2 at the OUA championships this past weekend in St. Catharines.
