Guelph’s Caitlin McNally has been named the Most Valuable Player in the Shiels Division of OUA women’s rugby.
The fifth-year Guelph Gryphons fullback, a graduate of John F. Ross CVI, also took home her third OUA Shiels Division All-Star honour.
On Wednesday night, McNally was also named to the All-Canadian Team.
Gryphons earned two of the OUA Shiels Division’s three major awards as coach Colette McAuley was named coach of the year for the second time in the last three years, and third overall.
Among fellow Gryphons to be named Shiels Division all-stars are Guelph native Brittany Kassil (Centennial CVI), Shannon Spurrell, Brittany Priddle and Devon Keys.
The Gryphons are currently in Quebec City competing at the Canadian Interuniversity Sports national championship. The Gryphons are seeded No. 5 at the six-team tournament. StFX is the No. 1 seed.
