The University of Guelph’s newest athletic facility, the Gryphon Field House, is now open.
The Field House officially opened on July 3. It is located on the site of the old soccer field, directly north of the W.F. Mitchell Athletic Centre and south of Alumni Stadium.
The new facility has a four-lane, 200m indoor track, locations for high jump, triple jump and throws. The infield features in-filled artificial turf suitable for soccer, rugby, football, lacrosse, baseball and ultimate.
The Gryphon Field House is available to camps, intramurals, varsity athletics and for community use, said a news release.
