The Centennial Spartans will look to cap a perfect season today when they face the John F. Ross Royals in the District 10 senior boys soccer championship game.
Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the University of Guelph.
Centennial went 7-0-0 in the regular season before a pair of playoff wins. Ross was 6-1-0 before two post-season wins. Their lone loss came against Centennial, a 2-1 defeat on Oct. 1.
In semifinal play Thursday, Centennial beat Lourdes 2-0 and Ross topped Orangeville 3-1. Alex Miller and Michael Ojkic scored for Centennial. For Ross, Simon Alilovic had a hat trick while Braedyn Phipps scored for Orangeville.
In the junior finals, also today, first-place Ross will face third-place Orangeville at 4 p.m. at Franchetto Park.
The Royals were 6-0-1 in regular season play and Orangeville was 4-2-1.
In semifinal games Thursday, Ross topped St. James 3-1 and Orangeville shut out Bishop Mac 5-0.
Owen Sutcliffe had a pair of goals for Ross and Mitch Long had one. Alec Saretta scored for St. James. For Orangeville, Simon Schning scored twice and singles came from Tanner Stuck, Marcus Simms and Julian Leblanc.
