Play ball! for Royals

The Guelph Royals open their 2014 Intercounty Baseball League season on Sunday in Barrie. Game time against the Baycats is 2 p.m.

This past Tuesday night, the Royals fell 6-2 to the Kitchener Panthers in pre-season action. Justin Interisano and Aberdeen Chan each had solo homers for the Royals, while Tino Silvestri added two singles. Former Royal Sean Reilly went long for Kitchener in the win.

On Friday, the Royals will face the Guelph junior Silvercreeks in a pre-season game. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Larry Pearson Park in Guelph, and admission is free.
