Provincial league game features locals

A Provincial Women’s Hockey League game takes place in Guelph Friday night during the Guelph Girls Hockey Association’s annual tournament.

The game will see the Cambridge Rivulettes take on Oakville.

The Cambridge team includes three  Guelph Thunder alumna in Beatrice Harrietha, Rebecca Haddaway and Laine Padovan.

Harrietha is a Grade 12 student at Centennial CVI who is headed to play hockey at St. Mary’s University in Halifax next year. Padovan is a Grade 11 student at John F. Ross CVI, and Haddaway is from Cambridge and attends Jacob Hespeler high school.

The PWHL game takes place Friday night at 8 p.m. at the University of Guelph’s gold rink.
