Rugby women roll in home opener

The Guelph Redcoats women’s rugby team scored early and often on their way to an 83-5 win over the Niagara Wasps Saturday at Exhibition Park.

The win was the team’s Niagara Rugby Union women’s A Division home opener as the team improved to 2-0. Their next game is in Brantford on Saturday.

The match was the first of two back-to-back Redcoats rugby tilts at Exhibition Park.

The second game saw the men’s Redcoats lose 50-43 against the Oakville Crusaders IVs. The game was Guelph’s men’s C Division season and home opener. They are in Waterloo Saturday for their next match.
