Spartans hosting hockey finals

The Centennial Spartans will take on Orangeville today (Tuesday) in the District 10 girls hockey championship game.

Centennial shut out Centre Wellington 2-0 in the semifinals. Bea Harrietha and Kesslin Wilker scored in the win and Abby Huggins earned the shutout.

The other semifinal saw Orangeville get past John F. Ross 2-1. Molly Mullin and Jamie Petersen scored for the victors and Jordie Neuman tallied for Ross.

The finals is slated for 2 p.m. today at Centennial Arena.

Also today, the District 10 boys hockey championship game takes place as Orangeville hosts Centre Wellington.

Orangeville beat Centre Dufferin 4-3 in one semifinal game and Centre Wellington doubled up Bishop Macdonell 4-2 in the other. Details were not provided.

Game time today is 2 p.m. at Tony Rose Arena in Orangeville.
