Storm batters Battalion to take control of series

The Guelph Storm scored 10 times on their way to a 10-1 win over the North Bay Battalion Wednesday night on the road.

The win gives Guelph a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven OHL championship series.

Guelph led the game 3-0 after the first period, and 8-0 after the second.

Scoring for the locals were Pius Suter and Jason Dickinson, with two goals each, and Matt Finn, Zac Leslie, Robby Fabbri, Kerby Rychel, Tyler Bertuzzi and Scott Kosmachuk. Zack Mitchell and Kosmachuk each chalked up three assists.

The Storm can win the OHL title Friday night on home ice. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Sleeman Centre.
