Storm edge Barrie after road defeat

The Guelph Storm bounced back from a road loss against the Ontario Hockey League’s top team by beating the Barrie Colts 3-2 a night later.

Scoring in the Friday night home win for Guelph were Matt Finn, Brody Milne and Scott Kosmachuk. All of Guelph’s goals came in the second period.

On Thursday night on the road, the Storm fell 6-4 against the Erie Otters in what was a battle for first place in the league.

Guelph scored three goals late in the third period to cut into Erie’s 6-1 lead. Finn, Milne, Ryan Horvat and Jason Dickinson scored for the Storm.

The Storm (20 wins, five losses, two overtime losses, one shootout loss) hosts Owen Sound (13-10-2-3) on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The game is the Storm’s annual Teddy Bear Toss Night.

Early this week, the Storm was rumoured to be working on a trade with the Windsor Spitfires.
