The Guelph Storm traded away a goaltender and got another back in two deals announced Thursday.
Guelph sent goalie Jason DaSilva to the Belleville Bulls in return for a seventh-round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.
Earlier in the day, the Storm announced that they have acquired goaltender Justin Nichols from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds for a third round pick (Plymouth’s) in 2015.
Nichols is entering his second season in the OHL, having played 24 games last year with the Soo.
As a rookie, the St. Catharines native had a record of 10-7-1-1, a save percentage of 0.892 and a goals against average of 3.52.
DaSilva was drafted by the Storm in the seventh round (132nd overall) of the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.
The Milton native played seven games for the Storm last season, recording his first OHL victory against the Peterborough in October.
The Storm drops the puck on their 2013-2014 season Friday night when they host Erie. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Sleeman Centre.
