Storm pulls out overtime win in Game 1

Jason Dickinson scored just 57 seconds into overtime to give the Guelph Storm a 3-2 win and a 1-0 lead in their best-of-seven OHL finals series versus the North Bay Battalion.

The Storm’s Zack Mitchell had tied the game 2-2 with less than eight minutes left in the third period.

North Bay twice led the game, 1-0 and 2-1, before Guelph battled back and pulled out the win.

Brock McGinn also scored for Guelph in the game, played in front of an announced crowd of 4,826 at the Sleeman Centre.

North Bay out-shot the Storm 34-30 in the contest.

Game 2 is tonight at the Sleeman Centre at 7 p.m.
