Storm sweeps three straight road games

The Guelph Storm topped Kingston 5-3 Sunday to go 3-0 in three straight road games.

Guelph also beat Ottawa 6-0 Saturday and Peterborough 5-3 Thursday.

The Storm entered the second period of each game with a 3-0 lead.

Scoring for Guelph Sunday were Robby Fabbri, Brock McGinn, Scott Kosmachuk and Tanner Richard, who had two.

On Saturday, goals came from Andrey Pedan, Daniel Poliziani, McGinn, Cody McNaughton, Kosmachuk and Richard.

Garret Sparks recorded the shutout in net. It was his fifth shutout this season, which is tops in the league.

On Thursday, McGinn scored twice while singles came from Pedan, Zack Mitchell and Justin Auger.

The wins give the Storm a 29-12-1-3 record, for 57 points, which puts them in fourth in the Western Conference.

They host the West’s third place team, Owen Sound (62 points), on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sleeman Centre.
