Ten swim medals for Gryphons

University of Guelph Gryphons swimmers won 10 medals at the OUA championships in Toronto.

In women’s, Alisha Harricharan won three individual gold medals and a relay bronze. The bronze was won with Tess Wey, Sasha Boulton and Erica Pate.

In men’s, Gryphon Evan Van Moerkerke netted two gold medals and a silver while Matthew Stephenson earned a gold and a bronze, and Derek Quick won a bronze.

Harricharan, of Brampton, was named 2013 OUA female swimmer of the year and Van Moerkerke (Tillsonburg), earned OUA male rookie of the year honours
