More than 2,000 athletes of all ages and abilities are expected to hit the waters of Guelph Lake during the first of two local triathlon events at the site this summer.
The two-day event June 16 and 17 is the third event of the summer in the Subaru Triathlon Series. The Guelph weekend has been one of the biggest in the series in the past, a news release said.

The weekend begins on Saturday with registration at 8:30 a.m. and the Try-a-tri starting at 10 a.m. Sprint triathlons and duathlons will start at 1 and 1:10 p.m. respectively.
On Sunday, race-kit pickup will run from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. with the Olympic triathlon and duathlon starting at 8:50 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. respectively.
