Triple play for Celtics

The Bishop Macdonell Celtics made it a District 10 girls soccer three-peat last week at the University of Guelph.

The Celtics, undefeated this season, scored four unanswered goals to top the John F. Ross Royals 4-1 in the championship game.

The Royals took a 1-0 lead when Sydney Johnson scored from the penalty spot before the Celtics tallied four times.

Reighan Pflug scored twice for the champs, and singles came from Tori Hinchcliffe and Kylee Szendrey.

The Celtics, winners of the AA OFSAA bronze medal last season, will look to return to the provincial tournament as they compete at the AA CWOSSA championship starting today in Simcoe.
