The Gryphons women’s hockey team was on a 16-game win streak heading into their second-round OUA playoff series versus Queen’s.
Two straight losses has eliminated the locals from the post-season.
Guelph fell 3-1 at Queen’s Friday night in Game 2 of their best-of-three playoff series.

Guelph talent factored in significantly on Queen’s scoring in the game. Morgan McHaffie, a Centennial CVI graduate, had a goal and an assist. Her sister, Brittany, also a Centennial grad, had two assists. Chantal Morais (Bishop Macdonell) had a goal.
In Game 1, Queen’s doubled up the Gryphons 4-2 in Guelph. Grant and Michelle Sabourin tallied for the Gryphons. Amanda Parkins chalked up two assists. Morgan McHaffie had a goal and an assist for Queen’s, Brittany McHaffie had two assists, and Morais had a helper as well.
