The University of Guelph women’s basketball Gryphons split a pair of home games versus Lakehead on the weekend.

On Saturday night, the Gryphons fell 70-65. Erica McFadden, Erin Tilley and Alex Beatty each scored a dozen points in the losing cause.

Friday night, Guelph ran to an 82-58 win. Kayla Goodhoofd chalked up 19 points for the Gryphons while Jasmine Douglas had 15 and McFadden hit for 14.

The Gryphons are currently 6-11 on the season and Lakehead is 7-10.

Guelph visits McMaster (8-9) on Feb. 6 with tip-off at 6 p.m.
