Family and Children’s Service of Guelph and Wellington County recognizes its foster and adoptive parents with a special appreciation event this evening (Nov. 1) at the Arris Valley Golf and Country Club.
The dinner event, which starts at 5:30 p.m., will see foster parents honoured for milestone years of service and will also celebrate new foster and adoptive parents.
Those to be recognized include:
• For 35 years of fostering – Barb and Larry Hurren.
• For 30 years of fostering – Maureen and Peter Jefferson.
• For 20 years of fostering – Carol and John Morrison.
• For 15 years of fostering – Yvonne and Randy Bard.
• For 10 years of fostering – Rena Hewison; Michelle and Allen Jones; Dianne and Brad Schieck; Sylvie and Mike Whaley.
• For five years of fostering – Donna and Gerald Grey; Sherry and Gerry Hall; Joyce and Josh Baker; Melissa and Tim Townsend; Lisa and Mark MacLellan.
