Hamilton Tiger-Cats owner Bob Young addresses a packed room at Cutten Fields Wednesday during a kickoff event for the Canadian Football League team playing in Guelph this year. The Tiger-Cats will be playing all but one of their home games this season at the University of Guelph’s Alumni Stadium. At the luncheon, team officials reiterated that the club is here for the year, not just the nine home games. Both city officials and club officials expressed optimism about playing in Guelph. A cheque for $5,000 was also given by the Ti-Cats to the Guelph Minor Football Association.
